Before travel to Sao Tome and Principe you need to ask permission to enter by obtaining a visa, you may request our services by email: firstname.lastname@example.org, with an additional cost of 40 €, or through the embassy or consulate of Sao Tome and Principe in your country. Remember, you need a passport valid for at least aged 6 months.
Sao Tome and Principe is a developing country, and still has some shortcomings in medical care. It is advisable to vaccine against hepatitis B for extended stays, malaria prophylaxis and vaccination against yellow fever (mandatory for travelers from affected areas). Nevertheless, before traveling to the islands we recommend you make an appointment with your family doctor. Include in your medical kit: Sun protector and mosquito repellent.
Adequate and valid travel insurance is compulsory for all Biilong´s travelers. Your travel insurance must cover accidents, injury, illness and death medical expenses, including any related to pre-existing medical conditions, emergency repatriation (including helicopter rescue and air ambulance where applicable) and personal liability. Biilong also recommends it covers cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage and personal effects. You must carry proof of insurance with you and produce it if reasonably requested by Biilong’s employees or suppliers. Billong reserves the right to cancel or suspend your participation on a trip or in certain activities that comprise part of a trip, at any time, including after the commencement of your tour, with no right of refund, if you are unable to provide proof of insurance when requested.
In São Tome and Principe the currency is the Dobra, where 1 EURO = 24.5000,00 STD and are accepted for exchange Euros and Dollars. There are no ATM's in Sao Tome and Principe and there are few places where payments can be made via credit card. Euros and US dollars can be changed at banks and at moneychangers in Sao Tome town and in Santo Antonio on Principe.
